Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients #
- 10 eggs
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 cups half and half
- 2 pounds strawberries (pureed with 1/2 cup of sugar)
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
Directions #
- Add heavy whipping cream and half and half to a large pot. Bring to boil then turn off heat
- Beat eggs in a large bowl. Then add sugar and whisk more
- Slowly add 1/2 cup of the hot cream mixture to the egg mixture to temper it while whisking. Then slowly add remaining cream mixture and continue whisking to prevent eggs from scrambling
- Stir in strawberry puree and vanilla extract
- Place mixture in fridge for 2+ hours
- Add mixture to ice cream machine
